The Signing and Establishment of the Rights-Centric Education Network<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n\n

On July 24, 2024, in Trieste, the signing and establishment of the Rights-Centric Education Network<\/a> took place. The signing of the memorandum occurred on territory protected by the United Nations Security Council, specifically the Free Territory of Trieste (FTT).<\/span><\/p>

On 2 January 2024, the flag of Slovenia was officially raised in front of the Security Council Chamber together with other four new non-permanent members of the UN Security Council<\/a> (Algeria, Guyana, Republic of Korea and Sierra Leone).<\/blockquote>

The signatories of the memorandum<\/a> initiated a network to safeguard rights in education on demilitarized and neutral territory, where the statutes of peace and freedom are affirmed. In this spirit, we also pledged to our children\/descendants to uphold their fundamental inalienable rights, as we are their primary guardians and guides, at least in the first part of their lives.<\/p>

Memorandum and Commitment to Uphold Children’s Rights in Education<\/span><\/p>

As the Director of Lada Center, Klavdija Ho\u010devar Kastelic signed the memorandum, thereby committing to respecting children\u2019s rights in education and mutual reporting on related matters. The following witnesses were present:<\/p>
